These terms govern your use of Green Claims Directive Check (https://green-claims.sellerguardrails.com), operated by José Manuel Volante González (see the legal notice for full service-provider identification).

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the site you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The site is provided free of charge, as-is, for informational use, and requires no account or registration.

2. Nature of the service — not legal advice

Green Claims Directive Check is a screening and decision-aid tool. It runs marketing copy through a deterministic rule engine that mirrors the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/825, "ECGT") and its national transpositions. The output:

• does not certify compliance with ECGT, the UCPD, or any national law;
• does not bind any enforcement authority;
• does not constitute legal, regulatory or marketing-compliance advice.

Pattern detection is conservative by design — false positives in the FLAG band are expected and intentional. For campaigns with significant legal or commercial exposure, obtain professional counsel before publishing.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• scrape, mirror, or redistribute the rule engine or datasets for commercial purposes without prior written permission;
• rely on the output as a substitute for professional or regulatory review.

4. Intellectual property

All content, the rule engine, the transposition datasets and the design are owned by the operator unless otherwise attributed. You may quote short excerpts with attribution. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

5. Availability and changes

The site is provided on a best-effort basis. The operator may modify, suspend or discontinue the site, the ruleset, or these terms at any time. The current version of these terms is always the one published at this URL; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss arising from decisions made solely on the basis of the tool's output, from data that has become outdated between updates, or from the unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer-protection law.
